Maybe you’ve felt this before:
The workload isn’t sustainable
You’re expected to carry way too much—like burnout is just part of the job.
Leadership doesn’t walk the talk.
The organization espouses care and integrity but doesn’t practice it with its own people.
The system demands compliance first.
You’re told to follow the rules, not question them—even when they don’t help.
The support you need isn’t there.
You give everything to others, but when you need support? You’re on your own.
There’s no space to grow.
You want to get better, but there’s no real mentorship, challenge, or support.
The work makes you feel invisible.
You feel replaceable, unheard, unseen. No real voice. No real impact.
If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not the problem. The system is.
And that’s why we built Dandelion differently.

What makes the Dandelion team different?
At Dandelion, we don’t just teach this work—we live it. That means:
Your workload is built for sustainability.
We practice what we teach every single day.
We focus on real change, not just compliance.
You will be supported just like the families.
Personal and professional growth are non-negotiable.
Your voice actually matters in this work.
Meet our team
We ARE looking for people who…
We ARE NOT looking for people who…
✅
Take responsibility for their impact—You own your words, actions, and relationships.
🚨
Blame, deflect, or avoid accountability—We don’t do victimhood or martyrdom here.
✅
Are self-aware and open to feedback—You don’t have to be perfect, but you do have to be willing to learn.
🚨
Get defensive or crumble when challenged—This work requires reflection, not fragility.
✅
Can hold boundaries and self-respect—You know that healthy relationships require balance, not self-sacrifice.
🚨
Prioritize people-pleasing over honesty—We don’t do compliance-based care, and we won’t ask you to.
✅
Thrive in a principles-based environment—You can navigate change and make decisions with integrity.
🚨
Need rigid rules and constant direction—We adapt, and we need people who can roll with it.
✅
Find joy in hard work—You can laugh, play, and hold onto what’s good—even when things are tough.
🚨
Take themselves too seriously or burn out fast—Playfulness and resilience are essential here.

“This work will change you. If you’re doing it right, you won’t be the same person a year from now.”
Sara Sherman, Founder

I’ve got some concerns…
1. Do I need experience in mental health?
Not necessarily! We care more about how you show up in relationships than your credentials. If you have experience in education, coaching, social work, or family support, great. But more than anything, we’re looking for people with emotional resilience, self-awareness, and a deep willingness to learn. Some roles do require certain training/experience, so check the job description posting for exact requirements.
2. Do I need to have experience with horses or other animals?
No. But you do need to be comfortable around animals, willing to get dirty, and open to practicing the same relationship principles with them as you do with people.
3. What benefits does Dandelion offer?
We prioritize work-life balance and relational support, including:
• A work culture based on mutual accountability and connection
• Opportunities for mentorship and deep personal growth
• A flexible, supportive work environment that values sustainability
• Compensation that reflects our commitment to long-term employee well-being
4. What is the typical work schedule?
It varies based on the role, but we prioritize predictability and rhythm while acknowledging that flexibility is necessary. This work isn’t always predictable, and that’s part of the job. For specific scheduling, check the job description.
5. How does the interview process work?
Our hiring process is straightforward and relational—we take the time to make sure this is the right fit for both of us. It starts with a 30-minute video call, where we get to know each other and see if our values align. If that goes well, you’ll move on to a one-hour deep dive conversation with leadership, where we’ll talk about how you show up in relationships, handle accountability, and navigate growth. If we’re still in alignment, you’ll be invited to a working interview, where you’ll step into real sessions and experience the work firsthand. Each step builds on the one before it, and moving forward is based on mutual fit—because we want to make sure this is truly the right place for you, too.
When people’s lives are improved, they have great things to say.
“I have truly appreciated being part of a team where trust is something that isn't just talked about but walked out. Mistakes, rupture and repair in relationship, rather than perfection are what are expected, and amazingly - it produces better results, fewer mistakes, and confidence in the work. There is no other company that I have known to do work and people management this way. On top of that, I get to work with other hard-working, dynamic people. I enjoy being part of this team and contributing to the vision together.”

Administrative Manager
“Working at Dandelion has truly transformed my life in ways I never imagined. This isn't just a job for me; it's a way of being. From the moment I joined the team, I felt like I was part of something bigger, a place where my voice truly matters. I've never had the opportunity to be so heard and valued in my career before. The support, trust, and empowerment I receive here have allowed me to grow both professionally and personally. One of the things I love most is how Dandelion prioritizes relationships in everything we do. Dandelion is not just a company—it's a community where your contributions are celebrated, and your growth is a priority. I couldn't be more grateful for this opportunity and for the impact it has had on my life.”
