We’re here for the caregivers who want lasting transformation for their families.
Psssst... we're talking about you.
Hi, we’re Matt & Sara.
(and this is our son, Oliver)
We feel you. We know how overwhelming family struggles can be. We’ve faced disability, neglect, alcoholism, traumatic birth, anxiety, neurodiversity and addiction. We pursued all the traditional methods of help and felt alone and like failures because nothing worked.
In our search to find healing for ourselves, we discovered non-traditional healing methods that took time but really brought the healing that we desperately needed. When we found what worked, we knew we had to make it accessible for other hurting families. That’s why we founded Dandelion.
Since 2012, families knew us as Discovery Horse. As we’ve grown, so has our vision — and today, we’re Dandelion: a name that captures the strength, resilience, and hope at the heart of our work.
Our methods are non-traditional. They take time – but they work when nothing else has.
Welcome to Dandelion. Take a deep breath. You’re not alone anymore. We’re glad you’re here.

A relationship-first approach that actually works
Most programs focus on fixing behavior—but we focus on healing relationships. At Dandelion, we help families, caregivers, and professionals understand what’s really driving behavior.
What makes our approach different?
Rooted in neuroscience
Behavior is a nervous system response. We help you work with it, not against it.
Whole-family
focused
Real change happens in relationships, so we coach and support caregivers too.
Experiential &
hands-on
Learning happens through practice—on the farm, in the community, and at home.
Integrity of
our staff
They are committed to the practices that we teach in all aspects of their lives.
